Originally from San Francisco, Stacey later grew up in the San Fernando Valley, which was unfortunate, because she really hated to drive.
Inspired by charming Miracle on 34th Street, she moved to NYC (Gimbels was nowhere to be found) where she enjoyed 7 years of no driving and famous Miracle on 34th Street snow.
She met a Brooklyn film guy who was really great except that he really hated cold weather.
So she gave up reading horror novels on the subway going to work, and they moved back to L.A. where they both write and try not to drive unless they run out of food or Griffith Park is on fire (again).
