>> Max Duckler
Chief Executive Officer

Max has worked in the television post production industry for 30 years. He began his career as a freelance videotape editor before joining with Juntunen to help build one of the country's first all-digital post-production facilities. While serving as Vice President of Post Production, it became clear to Max that there was a need for a high-quality and affordable closed captioning service.

Since starting CaptionMax in 1993, Max has grown his company from a one-man operation to a business that employs over 100 people in locations across the country. As CEO, he assists his executive team in sales and marketing, personnel development, and identifying growth opportunities. As a leader in media accessibility, Max is a member of the DCMP board and speaks at a number of accessibility conferences hosted by organizations such as the National Association of the Deaf and the U.S. Department of Education.

Max is proud of the highly talented team that makes up CaptionMax's workforce and he looks forward to continuing to evolve accessibility services in television, the internet, and the classroom.

Max graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz. When he's not playing racquetball, sculpting metal, or teaching English to foreign students, Max enjoys playing Scrabble with his wife, Suzanne; learning the tea trade from his adult son, David; and getting tips on how to play the guitar on “Rock Band” well and not embarrass his teenaged daughter, Eva.
